Citrus Fruit Smoothie
A smoothie is great for recovery and boosting energy after running or exercise.
The citrus fruit smoothie below contains 3 key ingredients:
- Coconut water – great for hydration
- Mandarins & Pineapple – for vitamins
- Protein Powder – to help your muscles
For the mandarins you can either use fresh mandarins or an easier option is to use tinned ones (they are just as good). And yes pineapple is not a citrus fruit but adds a lovely flavour to the smoothie

Equipment
- 1 Blender or smoothie maker
- 1 Chef Knife
Ingredients
- 250 ml Coconut water
- 2 Mandarins
- 2 Pineapple slices
- 1 tbsp Protein powder
- 4 ice cubes
Instructions
- Pour the coconut water into the blender
- Add the mandarin pieces
- And add the pineapple slices, protein powder and ice cubes
- Blend until smooth
- Drink and enjoy
