  • 1 Kettle
  • 1 Cafetiere or tea pot
  • 1 Sieve or strainer (optional)

1. Prepare ingredients

  • Squeeze the lemon juice from the lemon
  • Remove the Thai basil Leaves from the plant. Roughen the leaves a bit – by clapping or gently rubbing them in your hands.

2. Make the core Thai basil tea

  • Put the Thai basil leaves in the bottom of the cafetiere
  • Add boiling water and stir. Leave to flavour for 3 – 5 minutes

3. Finalise the tea

  • Add the lemon juice and honey and stir.
  • Gently push the cafetiere down and pour into tea cup or mug
