Cinnamon coriander tea

Coriander leaves are great for making a lovely tasting tea

Equipment

  • 1 Kettle
  • 1 Cafetiere or tea pot
  • 1 Sieve or strainer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 4 sprigs Cilantro or Coriander
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 500 ml Hot not boiling water
  • 1 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup (Optional)

Instructions

  • Remove the coriander leaves from the sprigs
  • Put leaves in the bottom of the cafetiere
  • Boil water in a kettle or saucepan, and let it slightly cool for about 2 minutes. Then pour into the cafetiere
  • Add cinnamon stick
  • If you would like a sweeter flavour add the maple syrup or honey and stir.
  • Leave to flavour for 5 – 7 minutes
  • Then gently push the cafetiere down and pour into tea cup or mug
